This position will manage and execute specific fundraising programs to increase individual gifts and institutional support including sponsorships, corporate and foundation gifts, grants and special events. The Development Director will support the OBA Executive Director and Advisory Board by managing and coordinating Outward Bound Atlanta fundraising activities. In addition, this person is responsible for identifying and pursuing funding opportunities and prospective donors, executing grant and proposal writing, and managing special events. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent writing and organizational skills, and a strong working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge.

The Director of Safety for Outward Bound USA works with the Vice President, Safety and the Safety Department Assistant to provide support and oversight of program safety and quality to all Outward Bound operating units in the USA. Our ultimate goal is to support the exercise of good judgment by staff who lead our students. We do this by working to ensure that Outward Bound’s Safety Policy & Standards are known, understood and practiced in all our program operations, by understanding incident trends, staff culture and organizational dynamics that affect the safety of our operations, and taking timely action to address deficiencies.

1. Provide insight and direction to a Marketing/Sales Director who will be responsible for (i) selling and administering school programs, (ii) administering youth at risk programs and (iii) grant writing; and 2.. Act as a sounding board and voice of additional experience voice to the Expeditionary Program Director in areas such as the delivery of programs, the training and development of instructors, and the management of safety and quality control matters. OBM operates as a close knit team comprised of the Expeditionary Program Director, the Corporate Program Director, and the founder. Each of the team members is expected to support the others and to provide their experience in the development of the overall vision and strategy of OBM. Qualifications . Must speak Spanish well. Ideally will also be able to write fairly well in Spanish. Must have experience in selling and delivering corporate programs. The person who fills this job will be motivated to establish OBM as the premier corporate leadership and teamwork development organization in Mexico. Should be committed to the development of Outward Bound as an organization which changes the lives of those who have the least and are most at risk. This mission is central to Outward Bound Mexico, and think it unlikely that a person whose sole commitment is to the corporate world will be able to work well in the team we have in OBM. The medical screener is responsible for medical and psychological screening of all students and staff. The medical screener is responsible for screening students and adults, in a timely fashion, to determine their eligibility for participation on an Outward Bound course, by appropriately applying Outward Bound safety policies and medical screening guidelines.
